Will a lawton 7000 base work on a standard rem 700 action? I believe it will, just double checking.

No it won't, The Lawton action is round front to back where the Remington is round in the front, and flat at the back.

Hole spacing is different. You might get away with two rear remmy basis n a Lawton but you will need different mounts on a factory remmy. Why yo would want to run a high ass Lawton rail is beyond me.
