A buddy of mine has a Lazzeroni Warbird rifle. Nice rifle. Recently the bolt has had this odd issue.
As it was described to me, he did a detailed clean, reassembled it and everything seemed OK. A few days later, he was out hunting. He chambered a round, and then tried to flip the safety on. It wouldn't go on.
He pulled out the bolt, ejected the round, and dropped the magazine. He then pulled out the bolt. It looked fine. He reinserted the bolt, and it got past the front lugs, but then caught on something so it wouldn't insert.
He believes it has something to do with a portion of the bolt getting out of alignment. I didn't know much about it, and wasn't able to look at it in person.
While vague, anyone have any ideas? I think he said it was a Sako action. Maybe that has something to do with it?
Please, no Lazzeroni. It isn't my rifle, just trying to do research to help a buddy out.
