Hey guys,
I am new to reloading and just got the Lee Ultimate set for my 6.5 Creedmore. Have any of you used it? What are your thoughts? Anything I should look out for? Thanks in advance.

I used a Lee set with (gasp) a Savage years ago loading .308.

As a sucky hand-loader (Still am) I could work out .5-.75 groups out of that rifle.
I was shooting 168s, FC brass, and 4064.

Nicer dies are easier, but the Lees work.

I have the same set for my 308. They work fine. Just be patient and set them up right. I get .75moa or a smidge less with mine through a howa 1500. I've since bought a forester micro seater die, but I noticed no improvements in my accuracy from that.

I basically use the collet die to decap, size the neck, and it gives me a tiny bit of shoulder bump. Then I prime, throw powder and seat with the forester die. The collet die is convenient because you don't need lube. My process is down to 2 operations on the press.

The seater is not good for the longer more slender bullets. Pull the seater apart and check the stem with a bullet, the 147, 122 Leigh high, and 130 hybrid all contacted the meplat in the stem. That’s not good.
I use the collet die only out of that set.
I wanted a collet neck die and the only way I could get it at the time, was buyin the whole set. I have the other three dies if anybody needs them.

Used the Ultimate Rifle set for 10 years and continue to use for the 6.5 Creedmoor, 7mm RemMag. They're great and make sub-MOA ammo all day long and sub-half MOA ammo when I get the powder charge and seating depth correct for my rifle. Surface finish on the inside of the full length sizing dies may not be a mirror and may leave some minor scratches on your brass. But, the good news is targets and animals dont care.

Yes, the 6.5 seating stem does leave a ring on VLD bullets. You can actually contact Lee, send them sample bullets, and they'll make custom seating plug for the seating die.......... for $8.

That's what I did for my 147 ELDm, and 130 VLD. I also did custom diameter mandrels for my 7mm RemMag and 6.5 collet dies for different neck tension.
