left handed ar-10 shooters

Hey guys I have a good friend wanting to buy a dpms lr ar10. As you know this rifle has the thicker upper no dust cover and no shell deflector. My buddy is left handed and I was concerned that he might wind up eating brass.
Are there any lefthanded shotters out there that have shot this rifle and have some input?

I had one a few years back and I did not have any issues shooting it left-handed. The brass ejected out at approx. 3 o'clock.

I shoot my LR-308 lefty and never a problem.

I am a lefty and have two DPMS 308's and the brass shoots out at the 3-4 clock position and I have never had an issue of brass hitting me. So, tell your friend to shoot away with no fears of hot brass smacking you in the face.

They also make one with the Brass deflector/forward assist combo and that is what I'd get if I was a lefty.
