RH guns never bothered me being lefty. Unless of course the RH stock is a true RH stock.
Resale value is better on RH guns anyway.

Yes I only go with left handed bolt guns since I am a lefty. It would not be smart to shoot a right handed gun because you will be at a major dis advantage. Go lefty for sure.

I tried the right hand approach, but if Im spending this much money to shoot Im not adapting to anything. The options are a little less and it sometimes cost more, but pretty much everyone makes or can make left hand gear now.

Being a Lefty who couldn't blow his nose with his right hand, it's only left hand rifles for me (even my AR's). It would only be a last ditch, no other possible way, decision to buy a right hand rifle. Due to the fact I would have to reteach myself nearly every aspect of shooting & that doesn't really sound like a lot of fun.

Great, thanks for the feedback. I'm actually right handed, but can't even read the big E on the eye chart with my right eye and that eye is not correctable.
I'm wondering if I can brag about all my good shots being offhand.

I'm a left and have own many right hand guns. Don't expect to stay on target and get any fast follow up shots doing that though. My go to gun is a lefty.

I am the youngest of seven and left handed so I grew up learning to shoot with a right handed weapon. Always had one issued to me while in the service, gunners mates would laugh an say deal with it. Learned an still practice shooting from both sides. But I now have the luxury of being able to own a dedicated left handed rifle. Truth be told if your bench shooting it's easier to shoot a right handed weapon from the left side unless as noted above the stock is truly right hand only. It's the reaching over the top to adjust parallax that's the pain in the butt!

i shoot rifle leftie, pistol rightie, write right handed, guitar leftie.
man am i screwed up!
my right arm being my strong side i always felt that i can hold the rifle steadier with less fatigue - which works out nice as i'm left eye dominant. but grew up and continue to use RH rifles. lately i've been concentrating on getting as proficient with shooting rightie as leftie, and it's getting closer.
when i tried a leftie bolt, i got all confused. too used to the rightie way.
the only part that sucks is using a rightie rifle that has the saftey on the one side. the bolt cycling is IMO easier, especially from the bench as mentioned above or using rear support by utilizing the right hand to cycle it. for silhouette shooting, i come over the top to cycle.
i do like the idea of being able to see the chamber with ease.
besides i try not to have to chamber another round, and make contact with the first round.

I'm right handed but blind in my right eye so I've had to learn to shoot left handed. Started with skeet about thirty years ago and just recently got into rifle shooting. Anyway, I use a right handed bolt gun and have no problems. There is more hand movement but time isn't an issue for me and I've developed a good routine for this left handed/right sided shooting

I shoot ambidextrous, but I'm left handed.
That said, I prefer the left shoulder. My two main CF's are lefty 700's; my M4 is a lefty Stag; my flintlock .54 is a lefty Lyman Great Plains.
My Savage .22/.410 is easily ambi, and my Knight KP1 .50 cal easily became lefty with the thumb spur screwed into the left side of the hammer.
My Ruger BH .45LC must have been designed with the lefty in mind with the load gate for the left thumb and the ejector rod for the right index.
Thank God though, that all my kids are right handed......

I'm going throught the same thing right now. I am a lefty and bought a righty bolt when I got this LR bug, but I am realizing that I have to rebuild my position a little too much from prone and have a horrible time from standing or kneeling with the righty bolt. But from reading this thread I can see who has been snatching up all the lefties. I haven't been able to find a good deal on one yet. I have gotten advice from SH members to sell my righty and just "get what I want" but that can be a problem for new guys, because how do I know what I want yet? I thought I wanted my righty Savage 10 PC, great rifle, but after 4 months of practicing, I need a Lefty.

I've had:
Right bolt, right port (started shooting my dad's RH rifles at an early age)
Left bolt, left port
Left bolt, right port

I currently on RBRP's and a couple of LBLP's now. For positional shooting sports like high power a lefty shooter is benefited by the left bolt.
Otherwise, for tactical matches where you are usually forced to shoot support side at some point, it's going to be shot "backwards" at some point.
I do have a couple of custom tactical actions in LBLP configuration that I am just tickled with.

I'm left handed...shoot all of my gas guns righty as I could care less about flying brass across my right eye. My bolt guns are all lefty through. Going through a Tacticial Build right now that I had to go left handed....About 70% complete twice the $$$ over a Tacticial Remmy off of the shelf but I think I will be a lot happier!!
