I was wondering if anyone knows where I can get my lrf looked at and repaired. it just doesn't seem to be working like it used to.

What is it doing? That seems odd. I would think with something like a laser range finder, that it would either work, or not.
Are you just not able to get the distance or is it slow to give readings, or what?

Yes, it works fine at roughly 0-700 yds, but it is very hard to get a solid reading any farther than that. It used to work great, I've had it hit things as far as 1300 yds in the past, without a problem.

Are the conditions similar? Were you ranging more reflective targets in the past? If not, I would listen to Huntler.

I've changed the battery several times. and the conditions dont seem to matter.

Is your a 1200 or a 900? mine is an older 1200 and it used to work perfectly, but like I said its lost its edge at longer ranges. I also own a Swarofsky, it is fantastic, its definately a superior lrf, but it cost twice as much. But I still want my Leica fixed so it can be used.

I would say not. I have an older 1200 and have ranged deer in a mowed hayfield up to 960yds. Conditions and landscape do matter so there is some variations but it should be solid on deer at 700+.
The longest reading I have ever gotten on anything is ~1300 yds so I would say if you can't get good readings consistantly something is not right.
Be interested in the turn around time if you send it in so let us know.
