Len Backus "LongRangeRifles"???

Looking on the internet and this website, there are lots of great reviews and posts for many custom gunsmiths. Many of those gunsmiths have an availability or turnaround time of 6 months to 1 year.

But I did not find too much about Len Backus Long Range Rifles LLC? They have a stated turnaround time of 4 to 6 weeks.

I have several tactical heavier custom rifles, but am now looking for a lighter custom hunting rifle.

Anyone own one of his rifles and can speak from personal first hand experience? How do they compare to other custom builds?

I believe they sell rifles that they have pre-built and not to customer specification.
I have seen some good accuracy results with the rifles on long range hunting forums.

Brux barrels, Stiller or Surgeon round actions, built by a very good gunsmith in WI for Len. They are good rifles and will shoot with the best of them.

Do you know who is his gunsmith?

Len may use more than guy to build these rifles, but many are built by Center Shot Rifles. Jim See makes a good rifle, and the Brux barrels are impressive

I've looked at LRH forum, and seen those reviews, but I wasn't sure if they were biased because of their association.

Valid point, but most guys over there are straight shooters... no pun intended... Grin ! they tell it like it is.
