i just bought a remington 700 stainless 5r milspec,
but i have a problem with the handle

i have big hands and when i go to load a round and close the bolt i feel as though i do not have enough space in-between the scope and the handle.

a Kahles 3-10x50 Helia cl

is there any way to lengthen the handle by about 1" and sweep the handle about 10-20 degrees back at the weld point and upwards?

and add a bolt knob but not sure what type yet. but would like a knurled style similar to the factory Remington type?

or is this a bad idea, or am i crazy

Check out that link.

Most knobs get installed straight. It's not hard to lengthen the feel of your bolt handle by putting a longer knob on. A Badger or my Phoenix would lengthen it about an inch.
As for sweeping it back... the knob can be swept back. But if you want the handle it self swept, you need a new handle made and welded/soldered on.

Just get an oversized knob. Problem should be solved.
