I did, never really gave me the go to number so to speak. Also had some email correspondence.

I would call them back (well, actually I would just stop by since they're right down the street) and speak to someone in their repairs shop. They're generally very good about taking care of this kind of stuff.
If you want another option then you could measure the width of it and fit a Butler Creek cover on it and only push it so far on the scope, I bought a pair for my Mk 4 10x50 Bino's.
