Rifle Scopes Leopold Prismatic Scope? Opinions needed!

Anyone tried out the Leopold Primatic scopes? http://www.opticsplanet.net/leupold-63300-1x14-tactical-prismatic-rifle-scope.html

After a lot of debate and searching, I'm coming close to buying one for my AR57. I mainly like the fact that the scope can be used even if the batteries fail; plus it's made by Leopold of course.

Any experience or opinions are appreciated.

I've had very limited exposure to one. The guy next to me at the range noticd me checking out his AR-10 with the prismatic on top and offered me to put some rounds through it. I absolutely lovedi it. The etched reticle was very sharp and at the 100 yard line I (first time shooting the rifle) posted a 1" group (three shot). I'm sure that it's not as "fast" as an aimpoint or EOTech but it seems like it offers more precision for a non-magnified optic. Good luck.

Had one sold it. Great optic but the battery life is horrible. Came to the conclusion the reason for the etched reticle is chances are the battery will be dead. If they could improve that facet they would have a real winner.

I've sold several dozens of them and never had one come back/fail. Like mine very much. and they come with several different mounts which is nice.
