Curious to see some honest accuracy reports of (5) 5 shot groups out of various makers custom barrels. Here’s a Bartlein 5r I had fitted and chambered by LRI with random hand loads while I was fireforming brass. Oddly I worked up a load with 140 hybrids that didn’t improve much. Seems to shoot everything about 1/2-3/4 moa

I shoot plenty of 5 or 10 shot groups, but don’t usually put ‘em all on the same big target. I attached this because it was something close, purely coincidentally. It’s not a true 5x5 because there are something like 4 or more load recipes on the target. TMK v1, v2, and v3 are so named for different powder and primer combos (H4350 LRP, IMR 4166 and IMR 4451 SRP). I never did find a combo for the Berger 140 this rifle liked.

That‘s a Proof CF in 6.5 CM… basically just a slightly inferior, higher recoiling 6 Creed using the 130s. It made sense at the time! ;-)

This is also not a 5x5… this is at least three different factory loads (FGMM in a couple flavors, and TRU). I shot some Hornady as well, but I didn’t bother taking a picture of those 200 yd groups (because no one would have believed they were separate groups). That’s a Krieger barrel - used two rounds to zero, three rounds to confirm, and the started chronographing different ammo. After putting 10 shots into less than .5 MOA at 200 yds with a MSv3 hanging on the barrel, I’m not concerned about this rifle’s ability to shoot in the slightest.

ETA: that middle group (visible in two photos) is the same rifle as the above with yet another load (don’t remember which).
