Let's talk about parts not available we want

Let's face it, the title is the truth, but it's still fun to talk about builds we wanna do. I have one in mind.

- Something with a little more punch than 5.56 but not needed to shoot super far. 500-600 yards
- Used for bigger game animals like deer and w/e else
- 16" barrel with carbine length gas to utilize my reflex suppressor to keep OAL short
- 6.8SPC chamber
- Trijicon 1-8x optic

Not a grendel fan. I know it's better for further distances, but this is not for precision shooting. The grendel needs a longer barrel to beat out the 6.8 and I want to keep OAL short as possible without killing ballistics and having to SBR another lower. Plus going shorter than 16" wouldn't work with my reflex suppressor.

What are your build plans?

Don't get me wrong, 6.8 if you want to 6.8... but sometime back when I was planning a 16" barreled hunting-oriented build, the load data that I could find for both the Grendel and the SPC showed results close enough as to be effectively interchangeable for similarly weighted projectiles. Consequently, I went with the Grendel since I already had a longer distance gun in that chambering, and didn't want to add another set of dies, etc...

In other words, with performance being so close between them, the juice wasn't worth the squeeze for me to be able to justify going SPC.

I’ve been patiently waiting for a BTE ambi charging handle for my 716 as well as a Bobro rmr adapter for a pistol

The struggle is real

The world is a tad short on classy single ladies with morals and conservative mindsets in my AO.

I know one, meets all needs but the ready to get married part. Not sure when that is.

And she lost her southern accent. 😞
