Rifle Scopes Leupold CQBSS w/ H27D

For those of you using a Mk8 with the Horus 27D reticle do you find the 5 or 6 MOA doughnut intrusive when trying to shoot a intermediate distances (400-700)? Looking at the specs on Leupolds website it seems that the dot would be in the way when trying to get a solid aiming point for 100 zeros. Does anyone have a any input or perhaps a picture of the reticle at 8X? TIA

No, I don't think it's intrusive.

I'll try to get some through the scope pictures. The H27D works very well in this scope imho.

That is really the perfect scope for ranges out to 700-800yds. Dang, it would really do well on my OBR, I just can't bring myself to buy one. Nice pictures Jason, thanks!

Jason,

You have an in at Leupold right? There was some talk last year about being able to boost the brightness of the TMR reticle to make it daylit. Hear anything about that or maybe swapping out the TMR for the Horus? Love my CQBSS, but to make is really useful at 1.1x it would be great to have it daylit.
