I've got a Mark 4 6.5x20x50 ER/T M1-FF
I'm trying to reset the turrets to factory zero. I've counted clicks 3 time & each time came up w/a different number.

Anyone possible know what it's suppose to on elevation & windage total clicks? I just want to rezero because it came off another rifle & wanted to start out w/factory "middle zero". I've never had this problem before w/other scopes. Probably just me but if anyone knows that would be great.

I guess I'm not sure what you are trying to accomplish. Unless your mount has some type of adjustment, the initial bore sight/ zero will determine the starting point, regardless of optical center.

I recently called them about the range/ mechanical zero of my mk8. They told me to place the scope up to a mirror and then align the reticle with the mirror image.

Gimpy has it.........put a mirror in front of the objective lens. You'll see tow sets of reticles. Move your adjustments till you only see on set of crosshairs.

Never tried the mirror trick.... Sounds easier then rotating the scope in a set of v-blocks, and adjusting the x-hairs till they stay on the same aiming point while your rotating it.

Thanks for the replies. I'll try the mirror thing or reading turrets.
It's probably not a big deal but having bought this scope used I just wanted to start back at factory settings having know idea where it was set range distance wise before using. Maybe I'm being to anal/worried about it.

Forget all this monkeying around with the scope; just mount it to the rifle and boresight it. I find that a round object roughly 10-12" in diameter at roughly 100 yards makes the task pretty easy, and it takes less time than responding to this post.
