I have a Leupold scope in which the locking ring that's supposed to hold the ocular in place is continually loosening which is quite irritating. Does anyone have a method of preventing this that won't hurt the appearance or function of the scope?
Sometimes you really have to crank down on that lock ring by grasping the scope tube and turning the ocular with the other hand so that tightens into the lock ring. If that doesn't work a small piece of black electrical tape has also been known to do the trick.
