I had one on my gun and in theory it is a great idea if your holes are drilled offcenter a wee bit and need to gain back that adjustment to recenter your crosshairs in your scope. But on mine even if the rear screws were tight I'd be checking the tracking and I'd try to retighten one of those screws a wee bit that slight tension change would change my point of impact slightly even at 100 yards. Until I started experimening with lil things like that I never knew such a slight tension change on one of those screws would make that big a difference.
I'll always stick with a one piece mount now. If you need to correct a windage problem after centering your crosshairs I think I'd go with those Burris offset rings now instead. Others may have never had a problem with theirs but I try to eliminate any weak links I find that may cause problems later.
