Rifle Scopes Leupold Mark 4 ER/T or ?

Howdy,
After paying off all my debt for the past year and a half I am finally able to get something for myself, a sort of reward. I am looking at getting a "decent" quality scope for a rig I've had sitting around. My local gun shop says that they can get me a Leupold 4.5-14x50mm Mark 4 ER/T FFP for about $1500. Is there any other optic out there around the same price range, with the same features, that I should consider, or should I go with the Leupold?

Not FFP but Nightforce 3.5-15x50 or 56 with a reticle that matches the knobs can be had for a little more.

I own a Mark 4 FFP 6.5-20 and really like it. For the price it gives me what I want. Mine has Holland's ART reticle in it, which is a bonus for me.

I have a leupold Mk4 on my rifle, and it's a good scope. However I wish now that I had of went with the Nightforce. I took a look through one up here at Sportsmans Warehouse, and the Glass looks alot better. So if you could afford it go with the Nightforce. There scopes are illuminated as a standard instead of a 500 addon.
