Rifle Scopes Leupold Mark AR 6-18x40 mil dot magnification

Hello all!! I recently bought the Leupold in the title with the mil dot reticle but it didn't say anywhere what the magnification is to properly use the mil dots. I looked on their website and in the manuals but couldn't find it. Can anyone help me out on this?

on other leupold (2cd focal plane) it is the max power setting. I think it says that on the reticle page of the manual

It's 18x. I have one and called leupold to verify.
