Rifle Scopes Leupold Mk6 3-18 non locking low turrets from SHOT??

I don't understand Leupolds train of thought on this, they would sell a metric shit ton of 3-18 Mk6 with low profile turrets(M5C2) if they offered them in a non illuminated version with TMR reticle at the $2g price range. But instead they only offer the turret consumers want in an illuminated version priced higher then a S&B 5-25. Leupolds 2014 offering were pretty bleak at best?

I'm in the market for a new optic and will be going with Steiner or S&B. Leupolds M5B2 turret is the biggest complaint with the Mk6 and 8 line, you would think they would listen to consumers. Heck at least offer the better turret to upgrade to on our dime.

spoke with the tech just now. They have no plans to offer the conversion, while it is possible they said to do it, the testing/QC needed isn't "desired on a large enough scale" to warrant the time so it's a "NO", he asked me to check back later in the year….

sorry Leupold, bad move product wise imho.

Wonder if the non-locking turrets would be any easier to adjust for zeroing. I have found those turrets to be the biggest PITA to adjust compared to other options on the market. Thankfully I've only needed to do it all of 2 times.
