Re: Leupold Scopes
I have owned two Leupold Mark 4 ER/T scopes, and they both had tracking issues. One was a 4.5-14 and the other was a 8.5-25. The glass was nice, and they are built sturdy, but I don't bounce mine off the ground regularly, so that doesn't apply to me. Mine simply would not track up (35 minutes on one and 11 mils on the other), and be zeroed at 100 yards when I came back down. It wasn't a consistent shift either. It would always be an inch or two off in a random direction after tracking back down.
I had a PST before both Leupolds that I loved more than either Leupold. I have used many Leupolds as well as Nightforces, USO's, Premiers, S&B's, Vortexs, Bushnells, and even Barska's. I would recommend all of them (besides the Barska obviously) over a Leupold for precision work, but that's just from my experiences.
The VX3's I've used have all worked flawlessly though...
