Rifle Scopes Leupold zero point bore sighter and 20 moa base?

Re: Leupold zero point bore sighter and 20 moa base?

It should. You might have a problem if your brake/flash hider is not square to the barrel. The prong style brake on my POF made it hard to get right because the boresighter would slip into the grooves and not be perpendicular to the barrel. I used a small metal washer between the barrel and boresighter that wouldn't allow the tool to go into a groove and kept things square.

For some reason I always end up about 6 mils low when using a 20 moa base give or take. Still trying to figure out what I am doing wrong. Works great with out base. Also sucks if muzzle break is non magnetic. its not to difficult so maybe someone can point out my error.

Ah, yeah I was thinking you could not even see the grid in the bore sighter which is what happened to me on the POF because of the brake.

With my bolt action/20 MOA base I was also a good bit low with my first shot at 100. Put the boresighter back on and dialed to the impact and in two shots had a zero that was less than 1/4" from the bullseye. I really like that tool.
