I have no hands on experience with that, but yes, Leupold is better than ever. Mark 4 was a basic but solid scope. Mark 6 and 8 are great scopes, but overpriced. the Mark 5 hits the nail on the head.

For more populally priced Leupold brands, unlike some other Companies, you will never find a bad Leupold. Even their Mark AR scopes, which are quite inexpensive, they are solid scopes. Not world class, but never bad.

Three manufacturers that have teired brands: Nightforce, Leupold and Steiner. In my opinion these guys never make a bad scope. Some brands within their offerings are much better (of course) than others, and maybe more durable and military grade. NF does not offer the lower price points that Steiner and Leupold does, though. Other companies can offer amazing scopes at the high-end and abosoulte garbage made in China plastic lenses.

I thought this model was discontinued and they went to a side focus ?
