I was looking at pictures of the TMR reticle, and it looks like there is no center cross. It looks to me that the very middle of the reticle is blank. Can you please help me out here!
The TMR reticle is very nice. I like it being open in the middle. Thats probably the best thing about the Leupold's. Nothing else really sets them apart. But they did get that reticle right for sure.
You really can't apreciate the open cross hair until you use the TMR on a Front Focal setup.
Most people don't realize that the size of the opening is way smaller than the accuracy threshold.
Having a matching Mark 4 spotting scope is pretty sweet too.
Have all three (TMR, MLR, and MP8). All are very usable for ranging and I don't feel at a loss with either. If I had to rank I'd go #1 TMR (use it the most - on my duty gun), #2 MP8 (though i use it the least just because of the gun it's currently on), and #3 MLR. FWIW
The tmr is nice and after learning how to use it you can be just as efficent as with any other. I do like the open center, it realy cuts down on the guessing when taking long shots , you can center your aming point and not cover it.
