Rifle Scopes Leupy VXIIILR 4.5-14x50

What can you guys tell me about this scope ? I got a pretty good deal on one still in the plastic. Looking for glass for my GAP .308. This gun will be my one gun for hunting and Target shooting . Thanks

It is a good scope. But what reticle does it have? If I were you I would not purchase any scope for any purpose that does not have some sort of ranging reticle.

Just the Duplex recticle.

they are good, you can send to leupold for upgrades if needed. They will put mildot or tmr in it as well as other turrets(M!/target etc)

I have one on my gap .308. its fine. movements are good. mine has the mil-dot and of course you have to do the math since knobs are MOA
otherwise no complaints

also asked leupold about changing turrents on mine, and they said that they would not. they said they used to, but found that the adjustments were not matching the new indexes....
this was a couple months ago
