All -
Was wondering what you all considered indispensable books for your gunsmithing library? (particularly in the 1911 realm as I want to start doing my own work there)
List them up and if they're available via Kindle - all the better. Books you consider "must haves" when it comes to smithing, working on rifles, working on 1911's.
Also - so long as you're thinking about it - mills. What size can I get away with via Grizzly to do 1911 work, DRO capable? Honestly don't think I need a monster Bridgeport as the work I see myself doing is primarily cutting barrel hoods, cocking serrations and sight cuts.
The side door to my house goes direct to the basement but my concern is getting a big/heavy mill down there without it going through my steps (all 8 of them) so I'm thinking a smaller mill for what I want to do makes more sense.
