Another thread asked about moving from Dasher to BR to improve barrel life and brass life and reduce recoil impulse. I didn’t want to hijack that thread for a noobie question.

Is it possible to “light load” my 6cm to accomplish something similar without completely starting over w new barrel and reloading setup?

Sort of but it’s really a difference of 30 gr vs 40 grains. You’re not going to make it up by dropping down to 38 grains in the creed.
And really the difference between the two is pretty negligible when coming from a 6.5 creed for example. 6mm are generally going to be pretty low recoil across the board.

I would continue to run the creed like a creed.

I’m just trying to get my head around the two current trends: some are moving up a tick in speed from Dasher to GT; others are moving down a tick from Dasher to BR. And I’m sitting above the GT in the 6cm wondering which direction to go. I only have ~300 rds on my Bartlein barrel so I’ll stick w 6cm for a while.

I’ll just say “the grass is always greener”

I went high speed in my first match barrel chambering and then I slowed it down a bit on the next barrels chambering and now I have both and can shoot what I feel like that day.
