Rifle Scopes 'Light' Tactical scope options?

I currently have several PMIIs and love them. The 3-12 illuminated is an excellent scope and ticks all the boxes for me whether on the range or hunting. However, if the range of features available with this scope were available in a lighter package then I'd probably go for it on my dual purpose rifle (308 medium weight).

The scope would have to have 1cm clicks, mil dot reticle, be illuminated, have good glass and excellent internals and be lighter than the current 3-12 x50 at 720grams.

I don't know if such a paragon exists but it would be nice to know if it does!

Check out this link, not sure if it meets the weight requirements but it would be worth looking at.

PH Light Hunter

In one of the threads by either SWFA or CSTactical it mentions that there will be a light tactical model coming out soon.

You didn't specify SFP or FFP.

I think IOR makes a 3-10x40 (something), Nightforce makes a 2.5-10x32, March makes the 1-10x24 and 2.5-25x40 (something), and Premier will be coming out with the light tactical.

Those should fit your criteria.

Re: 'Light' Tactical scope options?

I'd go nightforce compact x32.
19 oz
ADjustable illum (not set like the regular NXS), mil dot, mil knobs, zero stop, and built like a shitbrick.

That is nearly what I was thinking of but is only a couple of ounces less than the Schmidt. Perhaps as light as the leupy 4.5-14 x50 which would be great if it the glass was better, clicks were mil and the illumination was good. I've got an old Mk4 tactical which is a nice scope but feel it needs some extra va va voom!
Thinking lighter weight. Along the right lines though.

Re: 'Light' Tactical scope options?

I've looked through the Premier (the heavy tactical version) and its glass is comparable to S&B. Even the image tone was almost identical. No surprise since Premier buys their glass from Germany.

However, this is a new scope so I can't vouch for it. No one can right now since none of us have seen it.

Re: 'Light' Tactical scope options?

My hunting rifle sports a 2.5-10x32 NF mil/m with zero stop. It's an excellent, lightweight, scope that would do just fine on any "tactical" rifle.

My 1.8-10x44 ERGO is great compact all-around scope, but I sure wouldn't call it light.

I was looking at the 37mm model. At 24oz it's not much heavier than the other options which are around 19-20oz.
