How many scopes are there that have the following features and design parameters:

Variable magnification
FFP
Parallax adjustment
Mil/Mil reticle/adjustment
Less than 25oz.
Zero stop

The only scope I can think of is the premier light tactical, are there any others? Is there anything on the horizon?

Re: Lightweight full featured scopes

I have to agree with Jason, I really like the PST's and they are very light as well. All the main features and then some, and right at only $1000 or less. They are a very nice package.

Re: Lightweight full featured scopes

I have a leupold Mark 4 4-14x50 with the horus H-27 reticle that fits that bill. Excellent scope (for us horus whores).

Re: Lightweight full featured scopes

Does anyone have the weight on the Leupold Mark 6 3-18x?

I've heard it is around 23oz.

Is it under 25oz?

Re: Lightweight full featured scopes

I am running a NF2.5-10x right now, and that is 19oz. I was using 25oz. as the highest weight I would be happy with.

Re: Lightweight full featured scopes

I just want to add parallax adjustment and a FFP reticle to the compact NF. I love everything else about the scope.

The problem is that no one seems to make a product like that. USO and Priemier both have scopes around 25oz that fit the bill, and I was just trying to find any others that do the same.

I usually use PMII scopes, but they are about a pound heavier than the NF.

Re: Lightweight full featured scopes

The Premier LT has been worth the weight and cost to me. But I'd consider a PST.

Re: Lightweight full featured scopes

I have a LT....love it. Was using another Viper PST I have and then swapped back to the Premier LT and it is amazing difference...

Also the Leupold Mk4 4.5-14x5 ERT M5 TMR has most of what you ask - maybe make your own zero stop??

Re: Lightweight full featured scopes

I made this exact same decision last month. The March it seems fits the bill on paper better than any other scope. However, there were some concerns about the sight picture being a little finicky. I already had a Hensoldt 4-16 NH1 on another rifle and had been spoiled with a beautiful image that pops into view very easily. So I ended up going with the Hensoldt 3-12x56 (28.2oz). The Hensoldt was only a couple ounces heavier than the illuminated Premier LT. It has the larger objective, excellent glass, and beautiful sight picture. Plus it weighs less than many full featured scopes - S&B 3-12x50 (30.7oz), 4-16x42 (31.25oz), NF F1 (30oz). The only downside is the lack of a 1/2 mil hash mark reticle.

Re: Lightweight full featured scopes

I think I am going to wait and see what the Mark 6 is going to be. If they keep the weight where it is and the glass is close to the Mark 8, then it will be my next scope.
