Just finished a 6.5 WSM as light as I can go with enough barrel for a 16 oz. suppressor.

Long action Pierce titanium action with titanium recoil lug and pinned aluminum rail, cerakoted with Elite Smoke
Manners EH1
Proof Research 1:8 26" carbon barrel
Timney Calvin Elite
Elk Meadow titanium muzzle brake
Remington BDL bottom metal

What brand of suppressor fits that cool muzzle break i had to use ugly propriatary stuff for mine.
Also would not advise r&r the break / adapter between running a can or not, a loose can adapter will get expensive.
Save yourself grief and rockset the thing down.
I forgot to and caused a baffle strike when it shot loose.
Aac is now making nicer adapter for thier cans.

It's 7 lbs pretty much on the nose. The muzzle is threaded 5/8-24 so any thread-on muzzle brake fits. I've been shooting similar setups for two years with no issues.

Why 6.5WSM over the SAUM? Just curious. I'm working on a hunting based build in 6.5 SAUM.
Bighorn SR3 - still waiting
Manners MCS T 100% Carbon Fiber
Bartlein 3B 1in8

Probably end up with a bushy LRHS but hoping for a good deal on the NF ATACR 4-16

I decided to change to the lighter titanium which necessitated a barrel change due to the new action's TPI being 18 vs 16. I've been getting 140 Elite Hunter and ELD's at 3300 fps and I'm a speed freak. I have all the stuff to reload for it and have been using one for the last couple years so really no other reason than I've already got the stuff. I might decide to play with a 6.5 Sherman Short at some point.

I like how light it is. Perfect for a hunting build. The bolt fit is not as tight as a Defiance which is good in the long. I found I had to push that Defiance straight in or it would bind a little. The bolt feel of the Pierce is a lot like the Kelbly.
