Trying to locate the best match for this AR, I have been considering the Leupold CQBSS but the extravagant price tag has been keeping me away for the time being as others challenge that there may be better for the money. I wanted to see what those with experience on AR10's or even an LMT AR10 recommend.

I will be ranging in between 1-500yards, occasionally more, I will be shooting everything from objects, to metal targets, to paper targets.

I have a Vortex PST 2.5-10 mil/mil on mine. After a few issues with the scope (fixed by Vortex) it is working out well. Good scope for the price point.

My LMT MWS .308 has a Nightforce 2.5-10x32 NPR2 in a GG&G QR mount.
The scope has a 3gun stuff cat tail, and sits over Troy BUIS.
I like it a lot.

I am putting an IOR 2.5-10 FFP on my 16" 308. A lot of people don't seem to like FFP in a <10X but after using it for awhile on other rifles I love it.

I'm in the same position...needing an optic for my Armalite 16"SASS. I think for the price break you can't beat the SS 3x9 and I think that's the direction I'll be going soon. A 2.5-10 is also a good choice.
