LMT MRP-H upper question

Looking to buy a 12.5 MRP-H upper and the seller told me it has some kind of weird machining marks where the beetle sits want to know if it’s just cosmetic or will it cause problems with the barrel. pics below

My guess is that they had to touch it up on a mill or lathe after anodizing so the barrel would fit through.

I wonder if it’s just cosmetic, it doesn’t bother me if it is I just don’t want problems with the barrel

Assuming that the barrel fits, I would consider it cosmetic.

That’s the problem the seller doesn’t have a barrel to check

LMT term for RMA.

I haven’t the foggiest but given how long LMT can take to fix anything, I wouldn’t chance it unless he’s willing to refund you if your barrel doesn’t fit.
