OP- if you don't have to sell your MWS right now, I would abstain for at least a month, if possible.
There's already been a couple mass shootings this past week, as well as several other significant shootings. The political rhetoric is going to drive demand for gas guns through the fucking roof.

The market for premium ARs is already at or near the peak. High end ARs never fluctuate as much as the budget and value priced options.
What Winny said- at least in the short term budget AR's around the $1k mark have the headroom to double/triple in price. MWS's are already up around $4k and may go up a bit, but they're already trading at something of a premium.
In the long term, the value might go up as people hang on to theirs, the supply dries up and "serious" shooters chase those, HK's and whatever SR25's are available.
Ones I've seen sell have been in the $3.3 to $3.6 range- quadrail or slick seems to make no difference- there's a market for both.

I couldn't disagree more. No sense in arguing it. I'm sure we'll be revisiting our positions in the very near future.
Highly doubt it. I've seen this same movie several times over, and it always follows the same script.
Which movie did you see where the theft of a presidential election was preceded by a fake pandemic that left no ammo on shelves for going on 7 months, 6.5CM ammo selling for 4.00 per round, simple rifle orders not being filled for 9+ months, only to be told, "sorry, we have no idea when your rifle is going to be ready?" Was it the same movie where they had all of that shit going on in the background, all the while, raw materials continued to be unobtainable, and the POTUS and most of Congress begin beating the "gun control now" war drum?
Tell me the name of your movie, because I have yet to see anything like this.

Knights, LMT don't make that many rifles- it doesn't take much for demand to outstrip supply- people that have them seem to be hanging on to them too, so the used market has dried up- driving up the price of the few available-
That said, the people buying these rifles are, for want of a better term, the more serious or demanding shooter. They're not the first choice for the regular person either getting their 1st AR "just because"or someone ban-panic buying an AR:
a) they're just not as well known as the BCM, AERO, DD's, S&Ws etc
b) expensive for reasons not obvious to most
c) look dull and, paradoxically, not OAF
Demand for those $1k -$1600 ARs will always be way greater. They can triple in price and still be cheaper than the current market price for LMT's and the like.
Then again, who knows for sure ? P7's, PPK and Browning High Power pricing went bananas, just "because"...

over the past year and years past, I've sold several higher end rigs. We are topping unless there is a unforseen externality that will impact prices. Prices on things are already coming off with vendors and now trickling up to GB.

For me, i guess the question comes down to does he have something similar? I got rid of similar firearms to make the jump into night vision. I sold stuff that i didnt need, because i had something else that could fill the roll. If thats his only semiauto .308, i would keep it. Thats just me.
I've had this internal discussion many times, but I always came back to the question of why did I buy it in the first place. If it was an impulse, looked to be a good deal buy, sell it. If it's something you've always wanted, and now you just see it in the safe not having shot it in a while, hold on to it. It's something you've always wanted. To me, that'll lead to regret.
But that's just me, and I don't mind a little clutter I firmly believe they are an investment too. The price of weapons rarely drop too much, especially these days.

I love my LMT and never selling it (unless someone offers me enough money for it to make it worth it) I shoot mine very often. I would at least keep one of your two, because you might regret selling later on. Who knows what will happen or when we can get parts/rifles when we want them and not wait 1-2 years for one.
