LMT MWS barrel bolts

I have an LMT MWS coming. Knowing that its a good idea to have some barrel lock bolts on hand I contacted LMT to order a couple sets.

$10+ per bolt! And thats with LEO discount. Even more for the good citizens that pay my salary and allow me the privledge to serve.

I guess I shouldnt be surprised as everything I do with my hobby crushes my wallet but this just about doubled my best guess for cost.

These are engineered sheer bolts so I wont be using anything other than OEM. Reality $10 is not much considering the cost of the rifle. Its LMT's design, liability, etc so I dont begrudge them charging what the market will bear.

Anyone have any experience with getting spare replacement bolts other than waiting for a free ones when you snapped one? I should consider the $10 a convience fee - the value of having a spare readily available the Friday night before a shoot and not having to wait until Monday for LMT to send me one.

I have changed mine many times (50++), never broke one. If you use a quality wrench and make sure your threads are clean and dry I do not anticipate you will have a need. You will enjoy this rifle, it is by far my fav in the safe, she is my lil Jezebel.

Thank you for the experienced positive feedback. I never intend to use the supplied wrench but will use my Snap On in/lb wrench which has given me good service and is certified.

Still I'm the type of guy that uses two condoms. I think I'll get 4 to have on hand just in case. A $40 insurance policy for the convienience of having a spare readily available.

I believe they will send you two. That being said when I snapped mine they sent them for free and I had them in two days. They have pretty fast turn around. Stick with their bolts though.
