Re: LMT MWS cycle issues??
Once again thank you guys for all your help.
So I removed all the gray dry lube from my upper receiver and it took me about four freaking hours! I used CLP and after two hours I tried M-Pro 7 for the other two hours. Both seemed to work the same. I didn't remove it from the buffer tube because I just switched out my whole stock to a PRS. After all that I lubed up my bolt, carrier, etc. a little more than I normally do like D90king was saying and brought it to the range.
As I said before, I would only get about 50-60 rounds down range and the bolt would start sticking and would fail to lock up. Also the whole carrier would cycle home reeeaaally slow and I am pretty sure that was because the dry lube in the buffer tube would start to get gummy.
Anyways, when I brought it tho the range today I fired 170 rounds downrange without any issues at all. The rifle has never cycled this awesome! I fired factory ammo and six different reloads. It didn't even come close to having an issue. Before, I would notice the carrier sloooowly go home around 30 rounds and then once I hit 50 it would go to shit. Thanks again BigB308.
To answer problemchild, my extractor seems to be cut just fine, my gas rings are not chewed up, the inside of my bolt carrier is really smooth, I do not have any brass marks on the front of my ejection port, and I do have the little ski ramps on the back of my carrier. Once I read you post I was really nervous to check all those things! My new buffer tube for the PRS stock is chewed up from shooting it today just like the buffer tube from my SOPMOD. Ill keep an eye on it, but I don't think it will get any worse like you were saying.
Thanks again!
