LMT South American Contract Over-run Rifles

Does anyone know anything about these rifles? What South American contract? How many were produced? How many went to the public? I have wasted entirely too much time trying to research these rifles and uppers to no avail. Is the latest unicorn colored “canteen green?” Hoping someone here has some insight.

LMT posted there were only 60 complete “canteen green” MWS rifles sold to the public. They did not state how many MWS or MRP uppers were available.
