LMT v Gap10 etc

The LMT's can be very accurate. My 20" 6.5 CM barrel from LMT has proven to be a true half MOA or better shooter. I think it may be a bit of a unicorn thing but I'm not complaining. My friends LMT .308 is also a unicorn. I watched him put 5 rounds on steel at 600 yds this past weekend and the spot of missing paint measured a flat 3 inches edge to edge. JMO...

I haven't spent much time with the mws but have owned two and shot three others. Not being a fan of large frame gassers I never gave them an honest shake or stretched them out. That being said, I have a good bit of time with their small frame guns, two of which are precision setups. One a valkyrie and one a 556. The valkyrie came from redneckbmxr and he didn't really want to come off it. He kept it over a craddock and ran it to 12 or 1300 with great results. My personal 556 precision setup is actually a stainless barrel that also came from him. It shoots as well as the 3 custom bolt gun 223s I've had. That thing is what made me actually appreciate a precision gas gun and believe there is such a thing.

My LMT Sharpshooter shoots FGMM 175gr and my 24" LMT 6.5cm shoots Hornady 140ELD sub moa-both completely stock. Both are heavy tanks though. Before I went the LMT route for my heavy gasser rig, GAP and KAC were seriously in the running-I went LMT mainly because of the modularity. I still got a boner for a GAP10 though :censored:

I love my LMT and it shoots cheap magtech ammo around 3/4" and better easily. It is one heavy rifle though! I had one built recently that is lighter and a little bit more accurate with a Bartlein barrel for less than I paid for my LMT also. But, like above I like the option of swapping barrels in 2 mins! I am going to get the 6.5 barrel eventually to try it out. You cannot beat that option.
