I quit shooting almost 5 years ago. Started back yesterday and while dusting off my PRS rifles I found ~200 sized and primed Lapua 6 dasher cases in the gun room. I was working up a load on a new barrel at the time. Such an unusual question I've never even thought of, is it okay to go ahead and charge those cases and shoot them?

Can't imagine it being an issue. Some of the guns I load for in light volume are running primers 20 years old. I often case prep and prime cases for my main stuff so all I have to do is charge and seat when I have time or need.

Many years ago, there was virgin pre-primed brass being sold in 223 under the Wolf brand.

Many club mates took advantage and stocked up on it. Several of these folks used this brass for the 600 yard line and went Distinguished on it. That took them several years to accomplish by which point a lot of those clean scores they ran at 600 were on that brass after they had it for more than 5 years.

If you were happy with the prep process you used when you primed that brass and you parked it in decent storage conditions, there is no reason you can't run that stuff.
