Jeff,

I run 142gr of VV 20N29, 300 gr berger, 215M primer.
Getting 3220fps with it.
I running a 34" barrel, nitrated, and moly bullets.

50 BMG, pressured up quickly, and US 869 just plain sucked.

Viers gave me:300gn bullets use H-BMG50 powder 135gns to start. Seat bullets .010 off the lands

We shot mine today loaded with 135,136,137, & 138 grains of Hogdon 50 BMG the 138 load was 3333 on average and made one ragged hole at 200 yards seemed good to me. They were loaded with 300 grain Lapua BTHP. There were no signs of over pressure on the cases. We shot these through my AWC .338 Thundertrap and the recoil was just fine like a .308 IMO. PG
