Load for 308Win with Lapua 155 & Varget or H4895

I recently rebarreled my 308 Win rifle to a 27" Bartlein Heavy Palma and plan on continuing to shoot Lapua 155 Scenars.

I've been playing around in Quickload with various powders and have been exploring switching from Varget to H4895. From the data, it looks like H4895 will provide a bit more speed at lower pressures. Have others seen this to be true?

What have others found to be a good load with H4895?

I like Varget as it is very temp stable and has given me great accuracy. Velocity is what you give up with Varget. I can get 2940fps out of my 24" Bartlein barrel with a compacted charge of Varget and Wolf primers.

4895 will let you get a little bit more velocity, but at the expense of temp stability (in my opinion). But it is a great choice as well.

For a given charge weight and a 26" barrel, I found that H4895 gave me more velocity with the 155 Scenars than Varget. With Varget I would have a highly compressed load versus moderately compressed with H4895 when loading to magazine length.

never had any luck with 4895,varget was always the go to powder in my savage with 155 lapuas,if i tried to push them faster than 2950 my accuracy suffered

I researched the same issue....with no luck....maybe the OP wants some up to date or current data on the issue.....not a lot of info on 155's

what twist are you guys using? I just bought a 1/13 for 155's.
