Load for a 7wsm

Re: Load for a 7wsm

500-1000 with 7WSM. Will need to know what you are shooting. twist mostly.
I used 180 bergers and 180JLK with retumbo, 8.5 twist. Doesn't work as good on some rifles. My win coyote I use 175SMK with H4831sc, 9.5 twist? Never tried the 180s in the coyote.

Re: Load for a 7wsm

A barrel with a 1:9 twist rate will stabilize the 180gr Bergers just fine. I also use Reloader 22 for powder (62.2 grs) since it is less temperature sensitive than most others.

62.2 grs is a light load by the way but I start damaging brass pushing to get to the next higher accuracy node since I only have a 24" barrel. Need to rectify that when I rebarrel...

Re: Load for a 7wsm

Probably another Bartlein as the accuracy is awesome. Will go with a lighter contour though and either go 26" plus a Badger Thruster brake or 28" with no brake.

It sucks knowing I am pissing away so much velocity but I don't want to replace brass constantly so I am stuck for now.

</div></div>For me this is a mild load but I load to 3.00. I have recently discovered that 25 yields better velocity at MUCH lower pressure than 22. I'm still working with 25 but so far I am up to 67.5 with zero pressure signs. My 7 is finicky and the slightest bit of pressure gives me stiff bolt lift even with no other signs.
