Load speed

I'm loading 41.7 Varget in Winchester cases with a 178 Amax. Shooting out of a 20" Savage barrel. Does anyone have a estimate for MV on this load. I know it is a light load, just alot more comfortable to shoot than higher grain loads and it is as accurate as I can shoot right now, under a inch at 100yds.

Did you look in the manual for an estimate?

We can't do a whole lot not knowing the caliber!!

I guesstimate about 2500 fps ish. Give or take 50.

2500 sounds optimistic , but i wouldnt know.

It is a 308. Figured the grain weight would give that away, but my mistake. It is a weight that my lee pro disk will drop with about .1 grain accuracy all the time and it seems to shoot under a inch at 100yds. I can load it fast using the semi progressive mode on my turret press. I would do more load work, but I don't think I can shoot good enough to see more accuracy than I get now.
