Ive got a savage 110 that craters primers with mild to midrange loads... nowhere near book velocity.

Im looking into getting my firing pin bushed.

How does one look for pressure signs with a bished firing pin?

Any recommendations for a smith? Looked at Gre-tan but were getting into shooting season and dont want to be without my rifle for months.

Please and thank you

I really don’t trust looking at primers for pressure.
I’ve seen false readings way too often.

Primers lie, brass pretty much doesn’t.

My savage savaged primers as well, PTG bolt head fixed it.

If it’s bushed it should look like a regular dimple.
