I'm about to start loading .260 Rem on a Dillon 550b. I already have a tool head setup to load .308. Can I use the .308 shellplate and tool head with the .308 powder measure to drop powder into a .260 Rem case? (I'll drop a grain or two light and then trickle up). I'm trying to avoid having to buy a new caliber conversion in .260 if I don't need it.

The other thing to do is to drop the neck of your plastic powder funnel down inside the charging die. Usually they are long enough for the case neck to slightly lift the funnel when the ram is up. Then just charge the case thru the plastic funnel using your scale pan. Works for me.

The shell plate will work for: 243, 22-250, 260, 7mm-08, 308, and 30-06, 270, etc. I don't have my paperwork with me. The brass buttons also work. You don't need as many shell plates as Dillon says. Powder funnels are a different matter.
