I'm back and forth on my next varmint rig. I've had great luck with my Tikkas but they don't offer in the USA what I'm looking for in .243/6mmCM (short, handy, heavier barrel). My current thought is to buy a Tikka CTR (20", 1:8" twist) in 6.5CM and have it re barreled to 243/6mmCM. Gunsmith is several months out so I'd have some time to mess with the 6.5CM while waiting on him. Has anyone been successful loading the lighter 6.5CM bullets? Nosler's 90g Varmageddon/Hornady 95g VMAX seem like good options. Is the 1:8" twist going to shred the lighter bullets? Thanks in advance for any input.
