Loads for Savage 10 FCP-K .308

Last week I bought a Savage 10 FCP-K rifle in .308. It's one of the LE series of Savage rifles with 24" heavy barrel, 1:10 twist, 10 round mag, muzzle brake, Accu-Trigger and Accu-Stock.

My initial tests shows that it will stay under 1 MOA with 140, 155 & 168 grain bullets. The 140's & 155's are Nosler Custom Comp and the 168's Sierra MK's.

Does anyone here have the same rifle or other Savage LE series .308? If so, do you have any pet loads using the bullets I listed above? I'd very much appreciate any load data others have had good results from.

First of all congratulations on getting a decent rifle. Those are very nice and it will likely shoot much better than that once you get a load it likes and get familiar with it.

Now go do your homework in the Reloading Depot, where there are many many pets loads listed for the .308 Win.

175 SMK's seated just off the lands with Winchester brass and primers, 43.5gr of Varget. That load shot .35"-.45" 5 round groups out of two different Savage barrels.

I shoot N150 in my Savage .308 varmint. 168SMK

My 10BA loves 46 grs of BL-C2 and 168 gr Sierra, at 100 yards it just makes 5 shots one big hole

175 smk , 43.5 varget , winchester WLR primers. gets me out to 1000, havnt had anywhere further to shot yet :/. but great load
