Locktite (blue) the base screws and base-to-action surfaces. Do not locktite the ring cap screws.

Another blue locktite user,here.I also degrease the screws and screw holes.Another trick that I use,is that I run a tap of the correct size thru the action holes.You will be surprised at the amount of gunk that comes out,but be careful,small taps are easy to break. Pete

heat will remove red, but I still wouldn't use it on the ring cap screws. I have used them on bases to actions without any problems. If you can't get the screws out with hand tools, use a soldering iron and heat it up a bit and then turn it out.

Strangely enough Blue loctite now comes in the Red bottle Red loctite used to come in. But says medium strength. I thought Brownells had sent me red when I got it until I red the small print.
