Lone Peak Fusion TI

I called Travis at TS Customs with the same question. He builds alot of Lone Peak actions . In a nutshell it was conveyed to me that Ti is great for weight savings on something that won't get shot much and carried a alot . If you're going to shoot quite a bit, especially something big and high pressure an SS action is a better choice in the long run.
I really wanted Ti but after talking to Travis I decided that SS was a better choice for my build and hot loads I typically use.

Giving it a try,,,Im sure it will outlast a few barrels. I see they are making Fusion TI XL actions now. I think it would be more of a concern on a XL w the added bolt thrust.
I’m giving them a whirl. Waiting on a Razor Ti 7mag and just picked up a Fuzion Ti for a 7-08 build. Both will be carried much and shot little. May be an expensive experiment but since I bought my first Rem Ti when they came out ive wanted to go full custom with a Ti action.
The Razor was in my hands a day before heading to LRI......but there was nothing sticky just finger farking it. Cycled as smooth as my Impact and Bighorns.

I have a Fusion TI LA mag w full rail on the way to my smith. Mike from LP did suggest having the inside of the action Cerokoted Elite even w the nitrated bolt. Now I can’t decide what cartridge I want to build. I know 3rd world problems lol.
I'm not 100% settled on the cartridge, either 300 or 338 Norma , whichever one I choose will be improved and loaded to max pressure . I think the Ti actions would be a good choice, but maybe not the best option for me . I've heard to many instances of Ti lug abutments setting back with repeated pounding of big stupid cartridges like I want to run .
After speaking to people who know more about this than me, I'm going SS. I've never owned a Ti , so I can't speak from personal experience.
