Went out today to test the new system. I intend to use it for a walking prairie dog rig, for the head shots that present themselves often while walking a town. I bought a bunch of Win. Dynapoints from K-Mart at 20% off recently, and found they shot about as good as anything at 50 out of this rig, so i was thankful for that [they really shot great out of my Buckmark Varmint--.5" at 50 for 3 shots. That was nice to see as this gun hasn't shot anything great to this point.]. I chrono'd 1 shot at 1020 mv. Just about perfect i thought. So i accessed my generic ballistics profile for 22 figuring .1 BC at 1100 mv. and at 110 yds. it required 8 MOA of up from 50 yd. zero. The BDC 2nd circle is 6 MOA so i cranked up 2 MOA and put the circle dead center on the 100-yd. steel plate below and shot--1st shot pretty good. Had a 6:00 wind at ~10 mph so no compensation needed. The next plate was 160 yds. at 17 MOA up. 2 MOA turret added to the lower post tip of the reticle [15 MOA], and held the post tip on the steel plate and next shot was close enough. I think this is gonna' be a fun shooter with the Nikon on top. The Bushnell grid boresighter showed good consistent turret clicks and maybe 40 MOA useable turret adjustment, and good return to zero. Gonna' put a set of Burris rings and play with some offset inserts to see if i can gain any more up out of the system. Would like to have 300-yd. "plinkability" [~50 MOA] with it so i'm keeping my fingers crossed--we'll see--

I really like the BDC's 5 MOA windage plex post tips right along the horizontal axis as that provides for a nice "even" system of windage reference especially while dialing elevation...and since the circles are 2 MOA in diameter it allows for a nice 1 MOA windage reference or 2/10ths plex post tip system. IMO this LER optic is one of the best available for the money for small target applications to longer range, when maximized with the Burris Pos-Align offset ring system.

Thanks--i'm also thinkin' it will be for PD's and ground squirrels, and general longer range plinkin'.
