longer barrel for improved velocity?

cartridge is 338 lapua magnum
gun is a savage 110ba 338 lapua
current load is 90.5 grains of h1000 @ just under 2800fps with 300 smk

the question is using the same load( or any published less than max load) at what point does a longer barrel stop helping with velicity when chambered in 338 lapua?

with the 22 lr i have seen velocity drop with longer barrels and someone has to have a computer program to predict what will happen with one of the bigger cartridges.
