I have a .300WM in a Manners T4A currently with a 24" MTU Bartlein. I have a custom 30" Krieger 9 twist MTU I want to get mounted up. I was wondering if I would have to do a barrel pad or some other modification for the heavier, longer barrel ? It is a Manners Mini Chassis with no extra bedding right now.

Here’s a 28 inch MTU in a T4A on a stiller 338 action. I know it’s not a Remington, but this has no barrel pad etc.

Couldn't tell you about the 300wm but I'm running modified heavy varmint profiles (1.25" out 5" then straight taper to 1" at the muzzle) at 28-30" finish length on a few Pierce short actions & they don't have any issues in my AICS stocks. All shoot fantastic!

That Pierce action is one rigid SOB. Has one by AO on my 6.5 CM, didn't really need it but I was real happy with the performance. I bought the gun used here on the hide. Was in a AIAX chassis and it was pretty much a hammer.
